Commonwealth Games Organising Committee's term extended

New Delhi: The ministers' panel on the Commonwealth Games has met for the first time after the completion of the Games and has decided to extend the tenure of the Organising Committee (OC) for the Games.

The tenure of government officials associated with the OC has been extended till further orders.

The Sports Ministry will now decide how long their tenure should be.

Addressing a press conference, Jaipal Reddy, Chairman of the Group of Ministers on CWG said, "The senior officers made available to the Organising Committee by the Government of India will be allowed to continue in the Organising Committee until further orders."
